Building connections that lead to cultivating abundance is important to me, both in my garden and in my work.

Life is hard, and trying to make change while navigating that is even harder. In order to make any real progress, we have to move forward collectively. And in order to move forward collectively, we have to take the time to know and understand each other. We have to build trust together. We have to build community.

Exactly one month ago, I participated in a leadership retreat in Rosarito, México with Circulo Tapátl, a coalition of nonprofit Latine leaders that has contracted me as a facilitator. I was excited to be a part of this, but I had no idea how profoundly it would impact me.
